Waste water treatment plant – Petrojet
- On 25 November 2021
Idroconsulting is pleased to announce that the WWTP project in Egypt has come to an end.
The Scope of the Waste Water Treatment Plant is to treat an oily stream of water to reduce the TSS content, remove the phenols and adjust the pH in order to discharge them safely.
To achieve this there are three main steps:
- The raw water is sent to a CPI unit to remove not emulsified oil and suspended solids; then the raw water is treated by chemicals in order to oxidise and remove the phenols.
- The water is filtered physically by sand filters and, thanks to the absorbition properties of activated carbon filters the last traces of phenols are removed to meet the design limits.
- The third step processes the sludge produced in the clariflocculator with the aim to reduce its water content.
Due to the considerable size of the project, the shipment has been divided into different lots to facilitate the customer in the positioning and erection phase.
June 30, 2021
The first batch, including pressure equipment, skids and assembly material was shipped. The goods have been taken in charge by the customer for positioning in the plant.
September 15, 2021
The second major goal was attained: the shipment of the second lot including skid, tank and silo. The supply of pre-assembled and pre-tested skids allows a faster construction of the plant.
